FAQ

What is a lifestyle manager?

Essentially, we assist with day to day tasks that you simply don’t have time to complete, don’t have the skills to do or just don’t want to do. We assist individuals, families, small businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals.

What can you do for me?

Virtually anything! We can do pretty much anything, so long as it’s ethical and legal of course. Check out some examples on our Service List page. However, it doesn’t stop there, if you don’t see what you need, simply contact us to discuss how we can assist you. Nothing is too big or too small. And if we are unable to assist, we will find someone who can (for example we won’t clean your house, but we can source and find you a great cleaning service, schedule and coordinate the work).

How do you work?

Simply contact us via phone, email or fill out an on-line request form. Our consultations are free! We will discuss or meet for a consultation to determine how we can best work for you. We will go over your to do list and run through a check list of all your personal preferences relating to your service.

We then confirm your preferred day(s) and hour(s) of service. If we are completing tasks such as home watch service, pet care, grocery & dry-cleaning delivery…. you will provide us with a spare copy of your house key, access to a key lock box or alarm system. During your consultation, we will discuss our key holding process and policy before you hand over your spare key.

How far in advance do I need to book you?

24 to 48-hour notice is required for most services, however, we will try to fulfill last minute needs to the best of our ability.

How do you keep track of the time you take on my tasks?

Balance Project has a system that allows us to track time against your tasks. If the task requested takes less than the allocated hour, we will offer to complete another task to fill that time.

How do you keep track of my hours?

We begin tracking time as soon as we arrive at the destination for your Service and stop when it is completed. All pre-paid packages will be kept secured in your name. We will provide you a summary upon request of what has been completed and how much time you have remaining on your purchased package of hours. We will also alert you when you are down to your last purchased hour.

How do I know how much you are spending on products and services?

Great question! During your consultation we will ask if you have a budget that we should adhere to, however all items are purchased at market value unless we find a better offer. You will receive an original itemized receipt of purchases. If we are unable to meet your budget, we will always let you know before we make any further purchases on your behalf.

I have a small business. Can you help me?

Absolutely we can! For business, we can assist with any of the Services on our Service List. From corporate and client gift shopping to assisting in office relocation and event support. Don’t see something on our Service List, contact us and we will be happy to find a way to help.

How do I know I can trust you?

Your trust is of utmost importance. Balance Project is strict on compliance, not only to protect our clients, but to protect our reputation. Everyone who works at Balance Project goes through a screening process and criminal record check. We are fully insured under commercial, general and professional liability insurance.

What is your service area?

What forms of payment do you accept?

Balance Project accepts cash, electronic money transfer, Visa or M/C. Hourly rates and Package rates are pre-paid and reflect the services rendered. We will keep all pre-paid package funds secured in your name and provide balance updates after each hour of service completed as requested.

What if I must cancel a service I booked?

We understand that unexpected situations can come up. We require advance notice of 24hours for cancellation of services and/or rescheduling of services. You may be subject to a charge of $50.00 for services not cancelled within this time frame. However, we review these matters on a case by case basis.

Do you use service providers?

Yes. We have a network of third-party service providers all tried, tested, reputable and referenced. We pride ourselves on quality of service for our clients and therefore expect the same from the providers we work with. If you have a preferred provider, we will try our best to accommodate your request. However, this may not always be possible due to time constraints.
